“Our local programs have been established to advocate for all the local children waiting for forever families. We have services available through the county, but we know first-hand how difficult the process of foster care and adoption can be. We provide emergency infant kits to foster parents after a baby is placed in their home. We provide backpacks and school supplies to foster children and at-risk youth in our area. Our local events, such as the Caring for Kids Run, bring agencies and organizations together to educate, encourage, and empower all to play a part in these children’s lives. We are making a difference one child at a time.”
Through fundraising events like our Caring For Kids Run, xHope provides grants to Elk Grove and Sacramento based non-profit programs who provide educational, outreach and mentoring resources to children who are at risk such as our "School Supplies" kit and our "Diaper Essentials" kit. Can you imagine being removed from your family and placed in emergency foster care? We have learned from our school partnerships that foster children often come to school confused and hurting; without backpacks and school supplies they feel intimidated and alone. Our backpack drive and school supply drive is created to provide local foster children with needed school supplies. We give teachers the opportunity to gift their new students with a welcome backpack and all the supplies they need. CLICK the image to learn more and how you can help.
