It is with deep sorrow that we share that Trevor has gone to be with Jesus. Though we are sad for all of us left here who loved him dearly, we also rejoice that Trevor is with the Lord, whom he loved greatly. Although Trevor only had 16 years here on earth and 7 years with us at Redeemer House, he impacted so many people with his joyful spirit, his perseverance amid physical struggles, and his loving heart for people. Trevor increased our capacity to love. He laughed with his whole heart, danced with the joy of the Lord, and prayed like a warrior. On his last day of life, he was able to do what he had been dreaming of for so long–go to school. He came home talking excitedly about his day and showing off his uniform. Trevor passed peacefully in his sleep during his after-school nap.
Trevor will be greatly missed, yet we are thankful that we do not have to grieve without hope. We are commanded in 1 Thessalonians 4 to encourage each other with this: For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. (verse 14) We are grateful for our time with Trevor and that we can share eternity together through Jesus.
Thank you for your love and prayers during this difficult time. If you would like to honor Trevor’s life with a donation toward his celebration of life and a sculpture in his memory, please give here.
